Chippendales Production at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore
Challenge:
The Casino needed to bring in a full production package to create a nightclub atmosphere for four shows with the renowned Chippendales dancers. The existing permanent rigging points, at only 15’ of trim height, had to be used to create a proper atmosphere with high quality audio, lighting, and HD video projection.
As the artists were performing in another country right up until install day, production advance communication was limited.

2014 Kayak Whitewater World Championships
Challenge:
RCI Systems’ client needed to create an outdoor paging system to cover the audience and competition area for the 2014 Kayak Whitewater World Championships around a 270° 1/3 mile course, contending with ambient noise from audience and rushing water . The system needed to cover both a VIP audience inside the course and a larger audience outside the course. Interface with NBC Sports required coordinated wireless transmission of signals between control and speakers, and noise cancelling headsets for announcers to counter the time delay.

2014 Artscape @ Mt Royal Neighborhood, Baltimore MD
Challenge:
RCI Systems was contracted to provide audio and backline for one of the nation’s largest, free international arts festivals including seven divergent stages over three days, with artists performing, rain or shine, using many volunteer operators and stage managers. The Festival featured national recording artists, Cirque-like aerial artists, DJs, and local bands performing across an area that covered 30 square blocks in the center of Baltimore. This year, the “after hours party” expanded from two city blocks to ten city blocks on both Friday and Saturday.

Bands in the Sands @ Chesapeake Foundation Headquarters
Challenge:
With an entire concert setup on sand in Annapolis Maryland the challenges are obvious. First, an all sand setup resulted in a particularly challenging load in requiring a plywood road and, in some circumstances, extremely long case pushes. Second, limited visibility during this night-time concert meant that RCI Systems needed to provide area lighting to several stations along the beach. Finally, in an attempt to remain energy efficient, the client requested “green” and energy efficient lighting solutions.
